It was the season opener for the NY Shockers.  The opponent was a new team out of Syracuse, they call themselves CNY United.  This team is composed of players from Syrcause University and Le Moyne College, and Bryant and Stratton. 

The first quarter saw the visiting CNY United ahead 1-0 with a goal being scored with only 4 seconds left in the quarter.  It was a test for each team, feeling each other out.

The second quarter saw the NY Shockers score to make the game 1-1.  Not to be out done the visitors wanted it to be known that they can play.  At the end of 30 minutes the score was 4-2 in favor of CNY United.

The third quarter started of great for CNY United who scored only 30 seconds into the quarter.  Not to be out down the Shockers scored 4 unansawered goals.  Now with the lead for the first time the Shockers still couldn't hold the powerful CNY United.  They responded with a goal to tie the game at 6-6.

In the final quarter the NY Shockers took the lead again and still the visitors fought back to score 2 more goals to win the game 9-7. 

The NY Shockers take to the road against the NJ Ironmen on Sunday Dec. 9th at 6:00pm.
