7/3/09-7/4/09 - Highlights of the Independence Cup and the Boys and Girls Finals of the Futbolito Bimbo 2009.

7/13/09 - After many months of play, boys from Colegio Andes of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and girls from Seacliff Elementary School of California, United States, were crowned the Futbolito Bimbo 2009 International Champions.

7/2/09 - On July 3^rd and 4^th, the International finals for Futbolito Bimbo will be held at NYTEX Sports Centre in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Boys and girls teams from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico and the U.S. will meet in Dallas-Fort Worth to determine the international boys and girls champions for Futbolito Bimbo 2009.

6/15/09 - Fireworks will be going off inside the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills on Saturday, July 4 as an indoor soccer match between Mexico and the US National Arena Soccer Team (USNAST) will heat up the turf at 6 PM.  Tickets can be reserved online at Independence Cup Tickets.

6/15/09 - The Central American leg of the 2009 Futbolito Bimbo was held in Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.  Each country started with 72 school teams, 48 boys and 24 girls. 

5/18/09 – On May 17-18, 2009, the US National finals for Futbolito Bimbo were held at Arena Athletics in Euless.

3/6/09 - The Futbolito Bimbo 2009 is coming to the United States commencing on March 18 in Chicago.

The venerated youth tournament is expected to draw 40,000 competitors in Mexico and will be expanded into the US in Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston and Dallas.  The continental finals will be held in May in Dallas.
