PASL Announces First Eight Teams in Great Lakes Region
The Premier Arena Soccer League announced the first eight teams for the 2019-20 season. The seven returning teams and one new team will make up part of the Great Lakes Division, where they will be joined by additional teams that will be announced in the near future. As well, the Great Lakes Division will be joined by other regional divisions.
The PASL champion Cincinnati Swerve will once again be joined by the Queen City Sonics (Cincinnati), Great Lakes Wanderers (Cedar Springs, Michigan), Brew City Legends (Milwaukee), Detroit Waza Flo, Chicago Mustangs, and Youngstown Nighthawks. A yet-to-be-named team in Rockford will start play this winter.
"As we head into our relaunch year it was important show continuity as demonstrated by the return of these seven teams, and that will lay the foundation to welcome the new teams, like Rockford, which we are excited to announce in the next few weeks," said PASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken.
It’s not too late to join the Great Lakes Region, or any of the other seven regions for the 2019-20 season. The registration deadline for the PASL is September 30th, and the league is looking to have at least one division of men and women in each region. The PASL will kick off their 2019-20 season the weekend of December 6th.
