PASL Leaps Forward With New Look
PASL-Pro, PASL-Premier look to the future in style

Since 1998 the Premier Arena Soccer League has steadily grown into North America’s largest amateur arena soccer league.  A confluence of events has primed the PASL for its greatest expansion yet.  The new Professional Arena Soccer League has precipitated the need for new acronyms and an image upgrade. The old PASL lives on as PASL-Premier and the pro league has been dubbed PASL-Pro.

PASL founder Kevin Milliken commissioned a set of new logos from renowned graphic designer Keith Flynn of Flynnagain Productions. "As we rewrite the future of arena soccer we needed bold marks that embody the exciting progress and promise of the sport," said Milliken.

Flynnagain has produced logos for leagues such as the WHL, IHL, and SPHL, and team logos for professional hockey, football, basketball, and lacrosse teams. In addition to the new PASL marks, Flynnagain designed the logo for the US National Arena Soccer Team. That logo and the PASL-Pro logo were prominently displayed on the National Team uniforms when the team competed against Canada and Mexico in Montreal earlier this month.

"Arena soccer is a more dynamic sport than traditional soccer and we wanted to create a logo series that conveyed this," said Flynn. "The lightning bolt on the P emulates the excitement and action of the arena game and we wanted to create a unified look between the two logos but with differences, using colors that work well together with the context of this, and overall unity in design."

PASL-Pro is a new professional arena soccer league whose inaugural season kicks off October 25, 2008. PASL-Premier just completed its 10th season as the nation’s top amateur arena soccer league.
