Crush Announces First Head Coach

6/9/10 - The Evansville Crush, Semi Professional Indoor soccer team, is excited to announce the hiring of the teams first head coach. Taking the reigns for the Crush in their inaugural season is Head Coach Andy Hines.

Coach Hines comes to the Crush after a successful 3 year stint as an assistant coach at Oakland City University. The past two seasons have seen Coach Hines lead Evansville Central High School and North Posey High School, where he combined for a 21-14-2
record. He led Evansville Central to a Sectional Championship as a first year head coach in 2008.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to be a part of the Evansville Crush and the opportunity it brings to the Metro Community" Coach Hines said. "This is a great opportunity for players in the area to continue their careers in soccer and the fans will absolutely love the fast pace action”. “I encourage everyone to chase their dream & come to the tryouts”.

"We are very happy to have Coach Hines with the Crush," President Chip Rossetti said. "He has had great success at the high school and college level and he knows the game as well as anyone. He knows how to win and that is what we are expecting from this team."

Coach Hines will begin working for the Crush immediately, including overseeing the upcoming open tryouts that the team is holding. The first of the tryouts will be held on Saturday, June 12th at Metro Sports Center in Evansville. Registration for the tryout will begin at 8:00am, with the workout starting at 9:00am.
